The unique front independent steering system is carried over where suspension and steering are two separate functions, increasing control and minimising vibrations through the handlebars; the handlebars connect to the front hub via a lever to steer the wheel. The unique details continue with the exposed trellis frame, funky Aluminium circular details, piggyback front shock, single sided front wheel, high performance split radiator, sculpted seat and indicators integrated into the lever guards. The first 499 owners get a special edition with a certificate, number plaque complete with customer name and a special black/gold paint job. They have already sold out with massive interest from Japan. The 10-spoke 12" front wheel takes a Pirelli Angel 120/70 tyre and the rear 13" a 140/60. Afterpresenting it with an exclusive preview at EICMA (International Motorcycle and Accessories Cycle Exhibition) in Milan, back in September 2019, Italjet is ready to launch on the market a new version of its iconic Dragster, the legendary scooter that has become an icon both in Italy and in the rest of the world in the late 1990s and early 2000s. 25 years since its birth, the Dragster will
Italjet injects some fun into short commutes with its new Dragster. The new model puts a radical new spin on its Dragster small scooter with very aggressive styling. The scooter makes use of sharp angles, trellis frames, and styling cues typical of a showbike rather than a daily commuter. Just like the original Dragster, first launched in 1998 and discontinued in 2003, the new Dragstar features RAAD forkless front suspension, a water-cooled single-cylinder engine, and wide tires. This time, the Dragster will be offered with either 125cc or 200cc engines. Both appear to be Aprilia/Rotax-derived four-valve engiens. They will be paired with an automatic dry centrifugal clutch with a continuously variable transmission. The 125cc makes 15-Hp while the 200cc produces 20-Hp. Keeping it aloft will be a adjustable springs, linked with disc brakes with ABS on the 200cc. They will roll on 120mm 70R12 tires in front and 150mm 70R13 tires in the rear. It boasts of a dry weight of 108-kg 125cc and 112-kg 200cc. They will be offered for sale soon in Europe, however we have yet to receive word if it will be offered by Marketing, dristributor of Italjet in the Philippines.
